In confidence - when speaking to a counsellor or psychotherapist anything you say is kept in confidence. Should you speak of seriously harming yourself or others you will be encouraged to speak to your General Practitioner. Where the therapist has serious concerns they may share these with your GP in exceptional circumstances and only after informing you.
In accordance with the BACP ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy our professional counsellors are required to respect and maintain the client’s confidentiality at all times.
Specifically we operate an equal opportunities policy in order to offer counselling regardless of your age, beliefs, ethnic origins, gender, means or sexual orientation.
All our counsellors and therapists are supervised by a fully qualified supervisor.
If you have questions of our policies or wish to make a complaint please e-mail our Coordinator by clicking here coordinator@phoenix-counselling.co.uk.
The first step is to attend for an initial consultation, or assessment, with a trained counsellor. Presently the fee for this is £35 to £50, in Dagenham those on low income are seen for £15, thereafter fees are set according to your means. Allow up to an hour for this session.
