an associate counsellor Hainault based for Chigwell, Chingford, Chadwell Heath areas
at the first appointment or assessment the therapist will explain to you how counselling or therapy, psychotherapy will work and consider with you the way forward including what approach would benefit you and the focus for counselling work
agree a contract with you including an agreed fee for the work, times for your contact, break dates, issues of confidentiality and professional accountability

To help with initial anxiety and stress as to what happens at your first counselling session
you should allow at least one hour for the first session, thereafter sessions are 50 minutes or a “therapeutic hour”
except in unusual circumstances whatever you say stays in the room, is confidential
the counsellor will avoid making a judgment of your experiences and actions
